According to FIU External Relations, Students will be able to attend the first home game of the football season, though in limited quantity.

In an email sent out by External Relations seating at the Riccardo Silva Stadium will be reduced to “20 percent capacity to accommodate social distancing.”

They plan to give out 1,900 tickets per game, with priority seating going to students. This is equivalent to about 20 percent capacity of the whole stadium.

While the football team gets this week off, their homecoming game will be against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Saturday, October 10th at 4 p.m.

FIU plans to enforce social distancing guidelines at all home games this season. This includes having no more than two students seated together in a single seating pod. Fans will be separated from other fans by four seats on either side, as well as the rows in front and behind them.

Students who are interested in reserving tickets for the game should head to the University Credit Union Box Office at the Riccardo Silva Stadium on Tuesday, September 29th through Friday, October 2nd between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Students will need to have their FIU One Card in hand.

Only students that reserve a ticket ahead of time will be permitted to the game. There will be no expectations on gameday, and tickets are first come, first serve.

After Middle Tennessee, FIU will have four more games at home. Their next two home games will be back-to-back, against Jacksonville State on October 23rd and Marshall on October 30th.

FIU will then host Florida Atlantic on November 13th, and wrap up the regular season at home against Louisiana Tech on November 28th.
