The University’s Public Safety department gave the all-clear signal after an armed robbery was reported at the Modesto Maidique Campus Thursday evening on Jan. 6.
The armed robbery reportedly took place in the Breezeway Cafe between the University Park Towers dorms. The victim was not hurt during the robbery.
The robbery put both the University Park Towers and the U.S. Century Bank Arena under lockdown while police searched for two suspects. The U.S. Century Bank Arena was locked down for safety reasons because of the men’s basketball team game against Arkansas State.
The lockdown was called off at around 9:29 p.m. by Public Safety after a search concluded with “negative findings.”
Police are still looking for two 5’10 medium build black males wearing dark hoodies and a white bandana.
