Half a hundred days to go.

On Tuesday, Aug. 28, the Homecoming Council will host the “50 days Till Homecoming” event for alumni and staff. It will take place in Panther Square in the Wolfe University Center from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Abel Ramos, senator at large and speaker pro-tempore in SGC-BBC, called it an extraordinary chance to meet new people and have some fun with friends.

Students and staff can interact with different fraternities, organizations and small groups while they enjoy giveaways, free food catered by Frankie’s Pizza Cafe and a DJ.

“Our main goal is to bring excitement to our Panther community. This is a great opportunity for the students to get involved with FIU activities,” said Luz Castillo, special events chair in Homecoming Council at BBC. “Also, we are looking forward to get students pumped for homecoming week.”

The Homecoming Council organizes two events before Homecoming to generate excitement.

“FIU gives you fun options,” said Ramos, “As a FIU Student Government Association member I am looking forward to interact with new students and enjoy this amazing occasion.”
