Miami-Dade Police asks to stay away from 118th Ave and S.W. 20th Street as marked in the location above. Details about the barricade and the situation have yet to be disclosed.
Police activity in Miami-Dade on Floridas Turnpike north at Exit 20 in Kendall has the on-ramp closed and all lanes blocked. Traffic has detoured to 836 where some lanes are also closed.
UPDATE: The incident has concluded. While this no longer impacts FIU, there is still an active crime scene which may effect travel in that area, according to MDPD.
