Queens of the Stone Age rock throughout Florida

Queens of the Stone Age will be in Miami tonight for a performance at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater.

Hailing from Palm Desert, California, Queens of the Stone Age is comprised of frontman Josh Homme, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, bassist Michael Shuman, keyboardist Dean Fertita and drummer Jon Theodore.

Queens of the Stone Age are currently on tour for their 2013 release titled “…Like Clockwork.” “…Like Clockwork” was nominated for “Best Rock Album” at the 2014 Grammy Awards but lost to Led Zeppelin, who won with the live album “Celebration Day.” They were also nominated for “Best Rock Performance” at the 2014 Grammy Awards but lost to Imagine Dragons, who won with “Radioactive.”

There were a total of four show dates in Florida for this particular leg of the tour. Queens of the Stone Age previously stopped in Jacksonville on Monday, Feb. 3 at the Florida Theatre and Saint Petersburg on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at the Mahaffey Theatre. The fourth show will be on Friday, Feb. 7 in Orlando at the Hard Rock Live.

Tickets for tonight’s show at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater are sold out through The Fillmore website and were originally priced from $39.50 to $55. Tickets might still be found on websites such as StubHub. As of Monday, Feb. 3, a total of 91 tickets are still available with the cheapest ticket available priced at $68 for general admission access.

WRGP Radiate FM, FIU’s student radio, will also be giving away tickets for the show at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater. To find out more about the ticket giveaways, tune in either at 95.3FM in the general Miami area or online at wrgp.org and find them on Twitter and Facebook by searching Radiate FM.

Tickets for the show at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando are still available through Ticketmaster and are priced at $46.65 for the general admission standing floor area. These tickets might also be found on websites such as StubHub. As of Monday, Feb. 3, a total of 77 tickets are still available with the cheapest ticket available priced at $59 for general admission access.

The performance at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater tonight is slated to start at 8:30p.m., while the doors are expected to open at 7:30p.m. All ages are welcome to attend.
