This weekend will see the release of only and handful of sneakers with only one on the must buy list for me. In fact this weekend was supposed to be the big weekend release for the new Kobe model however; it seems the designers at Nike dropped the ball on this one.

Nike spinning a web of success this week

Unless you have been living under a rock for your entire life, then you must know the legend of your friendly neighborhood Spider-man. The web spinning Marvel hero has dominated the box offices and has saved the city of New York countless times. This weekend will now see Spiderman break yet another achievement by getting his own pair of sneakers.

On Feb. 8, Nike will release the Nike Air Foamposite “Spider-man” at a retail price of $250. The Spiderman is a mid-top sneaker with blue towards the front of the shoe, black in the middle and red towards the back of the shoe. The Spiderman also includes the classic Foamposite wave look throughout the entire shoe.

At $250 I understand that the price if high for this model but this is one of those shoes that is a must buy for any collector or shoe fanatic. Even if you’re not a fan of sneakers but you are a Marvel or Spider-man fan this is the shoe to buy this weekend. This model will be a release day buy, meaning that if you have interest in this sneaker then you must buy it on the day of its release otherwise it will be sold out.

Lebron 11 lows bright but unique

If you have no success this week in purchasing the Spider-man model have no fear because this weekend will also see the first low-top model of the Lebron 11. On Feb. 7, Nike will release the Lebron 11 “Atomic Orange” selling for a retail price of $200.

As I said before this will be the first low-top model of the 11’s this year while the shoe has only two colors mixed into its design. The primary color will be a bright orange that goes throughout the entire shoe with a hint of blue located on the Nike swoosh, inside the shoe and on the laces.

This bright use of the colors Orange and blue make the shoe a very bright and colorful one to add to anybody’s collection. I personally have been a fan of the brighter the better because for me it just adds a certain uniqueness and difference to your style. This is the type of shoe that’s says I’m unique, I’m a person with a flashy personality or simply I’m just different from society’s “modern” look at fashion.

Kobe 9 model worst Kobe ever

That’s correct, you read that right, that wasn’t a typo or a misunderstanding. I truly believe that this weekend will see the release of the worst Kobe model ever. So far in his career future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant, has released 8 different models of his Kobe sneaker. This Saturday is the release of his ninth model selling for a retail price of $225.

The Kobe 9 is a super high-top sneaker that has a compression sleeve towards the ankle and a primarily black and grey color tone. According to Nike, the shoe contains three key technologies which are Nike Flyknit, Flywire and Lunarlon. Giving the shoe superior lightweight performance and enhancing the foot’s natural movements.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Bryant scarified shoe sales this year just so he could have a shoe that helped him get back on the court and put less strain on his Achilles. For those of you who don’t know Bryant tore his Achilles heel last year which sidelined him for entire basketball season.

Normally Bryant prefers a low-top sneaker because of the free movement that it provides however, due to his injury Bryant was forced to come up with a design that would help improve his game and prevent another major injury.

Unless you’re a person who plays basketball at a high level and are looking for a shoe to help prevent any foot related injuries, I would not recommend buying any of the Kobe 9 models this year.

Even if you’re not a fan of sneakers but you are a Marvel or Spider-man fan this is the shoe to buy this weekend. This model will be a release day buy, meaning that if you have interest in this sneaker then you must buy it on the day of its release otherwise it will be sold out.
