Many include Roxanne Shante, Da Brat, MC Lyte, and many others. While she made headlines for her explicit material while with Spring Records, she also made headlines signing to Jive Records, one of the hottest record labels in the genres of Hip Hop & R&B. The London based able that made it happen for Too $hort, Teddy Riley (as far as producing), Britney Spears, N’Sync, R Kelly, and more. Millie Jackson signed to the label in 1986. She made hits such as Hot! Wild! Unrestricted and Young Man, Older Woman. Young Man Older Woman turned into a successful stage play also. Millie also is the mother of singer Keisha Jackson, who recorded during the New Jack Swing label while signed to Epic Records.
