After a 4-0 run in the conference tournament defeating the number six seed UAB in the Conference USA Championship, the FIU Golden Panther’s baseball team will be one of 64 teams competing in the NCAA Tournament. With an automatic bid after finishing the season barely making it to 500 record at 29-29 the Golden Panthers has the number four seed and will be playing in the Coral Gables region against the number one seed University of Miami Hurricanes.
This will be the first meeting between FIU and UM in seven years. This will also be the Panther’s 12th appearance in the post season as a division one team

FIU looks to ride their winning momentum from the Conference USA tournament to the NCAA tournament as they take on the University of Miami
The team will be lead by their MVP Julius Gaines, who was 3-4 with 2 RBI against UAB .
The game will start tonight at 7 p.m. at Alex Rodriguez Park in Coral Gables. The game will also be broadcast live on ESPN 3.
