A Traveler’s Journey – Cinque Terre Hike

I’m currently in SO much pain. Yesterday we did a 20 mile hike (equivalent of 10 hours). It was beautiful (AND YES I FINISHED IT ALL). It was so peaceful… To be walking with nature and to have a view this great. It’s almost unreal.

Some people opted out of the hike halfway — but I finished it all. Although I was the last one, and I probably had the hardest time getting up there, it was such a phenomenal experience and I’m so grateful to have been able to do it all.

The Cinque Terre hike consists of a hike of five villages: Monterosso, Vernazza, Coriglia, Manarola and Rio Maggiore (I may have butchered the spelling). For those who can’t hike, there’s a train… But I didn’t take it.

From the very beginning I knew I had to finish it. To prove to myself how strong I can be.

And I did. You know, people always talk about Michael Jordan or Lebron James doing amazing things… And they do, but it’s easy for them because it’s what they know.

But then there’s people like me, who don’t ever hike in this way… And I finished it. I accomplished one of my goals for this trip and that feels amazing.

This just goes to show that determination and perseverance is the most important thing.

Thanks to everyone who helped me accomplish this!
