Our favorite self-deprecating songstress, Lana Del Rey, will make her final stop on her North America “Endless Summer” tour Tuesday, June 16th in West Palm Beach at the Coral Sky Amphitheater. There will be plenty of girls chain-smoking in flower crowns , a gaggle of “YASSS-ing” boys, maybe bikers, and a lot more in between.
“Endless Summer,” is the singer’s first tour in support of 2014’s widely-acclaimed, Ultraviolence. Expect to hear favorites like “Blue Jeans,” “Summertime Sadness,” and maybe a new track, “Serial Killer”. Hopefully this will give fans something to GAG over until her highly-anticipated follow-up, Honeymoon, which is slated for a September release.
Del Rey commented on a fan’s Instagram post in late May saying it would be a “beautiful retro record” and stated she’s already shot two videos for it. There have also been reports of a lyric book for the title track off her upcoming EP being sold at her recent shows.
Opening up for Lana Del Rey is Grimes: a baby-voiced singer and producer known for her dance-able, lo-fi, euphoric melodies reminiscent of Purity Ring or Twin Shadow. As two of the most polarizing, yet unmistakeably unique figures in popular music, Grimes and Del Ray make perfect sense as touring partners.
This writer can’t wait to receive all of his ethereal life from this “degenerate beauty queen” and her pixie-goth partner – and to stock up on major concert merchandise, of course.
YASSing boys? Not all gay men speak that way as you unfairly suggest. Build some credibility.
Hey Jenny! Sorry I offended you; wrote the preview from my point of view: a LGBT POC point of view. Thanks for reading!
