Hoping to keep their winning streak alive during their opening conference game, the Panthers face the Florida Atlantic University Owls on Sept. 18. Despite a 4-2 record, the Panthers are 1-2 on the road. Jamar Campion-Hinds, who had three assists in the last two games against Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania, logged 147 minutes in six games played in 2014.
There is a lot on the line–not only bragging rights, but the possibility of starting a season with an impressive victory. For the Panthers, this might mean their fifth consecutive win this season. For FAU, who is 0-4 overall, the stakes are higher. They just came from an invitational tournament in Illinois. Their last game was a 1-0 shut out against Loyola-Chicago.
Last year when these two rivals collide, the Panthers came was on top with a 2-0 victory against the owls One of the scorers was lead by then freshman and now sophomore Darren Rios. Expect both Rios and Senior Midfielder Daniel Gonzales to lead the Panthers and put them in scoring position.
The game will be at FAU and begin 7 p.m. in Boca Raton.
