FIU represented in North Miami Inarguable Bowl

It has been announced on Jan. 8 that two FIU football players got invited to the Inarguable North Miami Tropic Bowl. Starting  cornerback Jeremiah McKinnon and linebacker/specialist Luis Rosado will represent FIU during this collegiate all-star game on Jan. 17.

McKinnon, who was voted Conference USA honorable mention this past season started all 12 games; finishing his senior career with 54 tackles (42 Solo) which is ranked fourth on the team. He also led the team with three interceptions for 31 yards and led the team with 8 pass break ups. The Miami native will finish his FIU career with 104 total tackles, 7 interceptions and 14 pass breakups.

Luis Rosado appeared in 9 games in his senior year, finishing with 12 tackles (10 solo) this past season. In his time at FIU, Rosado played in 35 games and recorded 91 tackles, 5 tackles for loss and one sack.

“We’re thrilled that both Luis and Jeremiah have this opportunity to take part in this event,” Head Coach Ron Turner said. “Both have been important to this program and it’s great that they have another chance to showcase their skills.”

Both McKinnon and Rosado are the third players to represent FIU in a collegiate all-star game. Starting cornerback Richard Leonard is set to play in the NFL PA Collegiate Bowl  on Jan. 23.
