Music lets us express our feelings

Linda Rios/ Contributing Writer

If you enjoy watching late night talk shows, for instance “The Tonight Show” or “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” then “The Late, Late Show with James Corden” is a must watch for you.

The host James Corden has been able to put his musical skills to the test through his hosting skills and often calls for his many musical friends to help him out.

Corden is mostly famous for the “Carpool Karaoke” segment of the show, in which he drives around with famous singers and performers to sing to the artist’s famous songs and catch up on what they’ve been doing with their careers. Corden was even able to get the first lady, Michelle Obama, to give him a tour of the White House in one of his segments while singing to her favorite songs.

Corden also created a segment called “Drop the Mic,” where he has rap battles with artists. These artists include Anne Hathaway, Rebel Wilson and Kevin Hart.

When I first found these videos on YouTube, they were an amazing form of entertainment, but what I hadn’t realized is that they offer a new outlook on the music we have currently.

By creating these segments, Corden has brought to life what we all do when we’re driving to school, work, home or anywhere else. He is able to create the perfect representation of what the daily life of the average person looks like and put a twist on it to entertain us in the process.

Music is not there for us to only listen and dance to, but to express our feelings and act like nobody’s watching, even if we are stuck in the middle of traffic on the highway.

I thoroughly recommend watching “The Late, Late Show with James Corden” for anyone who wants to have a good time sharing some laughs with friends.
