The Haitian Student Organization held a vigil Thursday, Jan. 12, to commemorate the lives of those lost in the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Guethshina Altena, member of HSO, shared her experience on that day as students centered around the Graham Center pit listening and setting candles on a map of Haiti.

Haiti’s national anthem, “La Dessalinienne,” played as students set their candles.
