“My best memory at FIU is meeting the people in class and making connections with them. My major was almost set up like cohorts where everyone took the same class at the same time. After a few semesters you somewhat grew a relationship with these people who I call friends now. Second best memory at FIU is becoming a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon.”
“[My best memory] would have to be going to the first meeting of [Korean Culture Club] because since then, the members have helped me grow as a person … They’ve made me realize some passions that I didn’t even know I had because I didn’t try to step out of my comfort zone. I’ve seen how I’ve embraced life more because of them, and if I hadn’t gone to that first meeting, I’d be in a totally different place right now.”
“Participating in dance marathon my first year and helping raise money for the hospital. Seeing the exciting of the kids running on stage and how happy they were.”
“It was my Study Abroad trip in Berlin and Paris, where I got to travel with strangers and came back with family.”
“My best memories have been meeting people outside of FIU and the fact that even in DC there is an FIU community that I can connect with. When I started an Internship program out of the state I was shocked to know there were countless FIU students there. The fact that FIU gives its students an opportunity to find groups even outside of Florida is one of my favorite things. I met one of my best friends through this program that FIU helped facilitate.”
