Male rompers are back in season, thanks to ‘TheRompHimTM.’ As you know, male rompers are now the topic of every conversation.

When AcedDesign launched their Kickstarter to support the vintage fashion style, the campaigns very large support of over 300,000 dollars in donations took the internet by storm.

FIU is aware of male rompers and its comeback, and the school is searching for more insight! Every man, woman, boy, and girl is jumping on this new wave. Male rompers were around since the late 1960s into the late 1970s.

Men of all kinds, from your uncles, grandfathers, and fathers have been flaunting their style in these hip cool male rompers. See back in those times, it was all about your fashion style. It didn’t matter how the clothes looked or fit.

For all you men out there, would you consider wearing the male rompers in 2017? To the ladies, would you be ok with your boyfriend, friends, brothers, uncles, cousins, etc. wearing these now trending male rompers?

Andrea Zapata, junior majoring in Recreational Therapy said, “I think the male rompers are fine, it depends on what a person’s opinion is!” said Zapata.

The internet is going crazy about these male rompers. You have a lot of silly memes going around, as well as very negative memes.

You even have people all around the world, from New York, to California; running test trials on male rompers. This is just to see what type of feedback they would get from the population. Here at FIU male rompers are up for discussions.

From celebrities to just your average working citizens the trend is making noise. Working class men are men of image.

They might not all be fond of wearing a male romper, due to the image they must convey to uphold their business standards. But celebrities are showing off these male rompers daily.

Guillermo Gallegos, junior majoring in BA economics, had a positive outlook on the male rompers. Although he says he wouldn’t wear one, due to the nature and presence that he must upkeep for his area of profession; he says he would be respectful of anyone’s choice to wear one.

“You shouldn’t look down on anyone, or treat them any less, just because they choose to wear the male rompers. Everyone is human, and if they want to follow a trend that is going to pass eventually let them; for it is their choice.” says Gallegos

“I think they’re cute, and I think that guys should wear them.” says Alexandria Lowery, a junior majoring in Communication Arts.

No bad blood here on FIU’s campus. everyone seems to be respectful, and really open to the male rompers.

Male rompers just as any new popping trend will either be worn or not worn. The question shouldn’t be how would people look at you. It should be, is this a trend I would slay in?

For the year 2017 anything is possible, and male rompers just made the cut!

From long rompers, to now short rompers everyone seems to want their hands on one. Reebok has even launched a line. Looking forward to seeing more on where this new trend carries us FIU is onboard!
