FIU named #2 in state rankings

The University has been ranked as second in Florida’s ranking system for universities.

The Florida Board of Governors met from Tuesday, June 26 to Thursday, June 28, and released this year’s rankings, with FIU only behind the University of Florida.

The Board also approved the reappointment of President Mark B. Rosenberg as his contract was extended for another year into 2020, according to a press releases from the BoG and the Board of Trustees.

“The new money will increase investment in student success initiatives, serve as additional funding for top research programs strategically positioned to compete at the national level,” wrote Rosenberg in an email to the University.
