On Monday, Oct. 1, the School of Communication + Journalism hosted the grand opening of their Media Hub with a reception and ribbon cutting ceremony in the Forum of Academic II.
Featured guests included University President Mark Rosenberg, Dean of the College of Communication, Architecture + The Arts Brian Schriner and Student Government Council at BBC President Jefferson Noel.
The Media Hub consists of classrooms and spaces for the South Florida News Service and BOLD Agency, and gives students the ability to use technology such as augmented reality in their reporting, according to Rosenberg. The event concluded with the ribbon cutting ceremony and a tour of the Media Hub’s facilities.
