The Student Government Council at the Biscayne Bay campus conducted the first Accessibility Walk to greater understand what improvements need to be made at BBC to make it more inclusive for all members of the community.
Members of SGC-BBC, the Vice Provost office, the Disability Resource Center, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute and the Director of the Wolfe University Center, Scott Jones, walked through BBC’s parking lot, the Glenn Hubert Library, and Wolfe University Center.

The Director of the Wolfe University Center, Scott Jones (left), shared that the University covered cracks within the walking pavement to prevent accidents.

Jones discussed the automatic door openers around the campus.

Jones discussed that the furniture of the first floor in the Glenn Hubert Library is commonly rearranged due to student and faculty use, but this may present issues to those that require more room to walk through.
