This edition of PantherNOW is possibly one of our most diverse issues yet.
To start with, our front page’s top story is about Juan Guaidó becoming the interim president of Venezuela, deposing Nicolas Maduro.
We also have an update on the alleged armed assault that occurred in the Bayview dorms at the Biscayne Bay campus last week.
This week’s pull-out magazine also focuses on all things Greek Life.
Its been a year since the University “paused” all Greek Life as they tried to figure out a way to change a culture that despite its philanthropic work was also full of concerning misconduct. This is why Student Media decided to make this our theme. We wanted to see if the culture has improved and what still needs to be worked on.
And as to what we found out, well, you’ll have to turn to page 7 to see. We also sat down with one of Zeta Beta Tau’s former “Sweethearts” to find out what exactly its like. We also have a profile on the University’s Bollywood Fusion Dance Club on page 12 that you’ll definitely want to check out.
