Rapper Kodak Black surprising students with a late night visit under the Parkview Breezeway at the Modesto Maidique campus on Friday, Feb. 1.

An Instagram video posted Friday night shows the rapper walking outside Parkview Hall surrounded by students.

The rapper can be seen laughing and taking pictures in the video shared with PantherNOW by Ethan Brooke.

Brooke, a freshman majoring in recreational therapy, was with the rapper after spotting him sitting at a bench in front of Panther Hall.

“It was crazy ’cause me and my homeboy just got some Wendy’s and we came back and my friend had pulled me over and asked if he was on campus,” said Brooke to Student Media.

Brooke said he and his friend were walking by the breezeway when someone told him the rapper was on campus. The two boys ran over and when they saw Black, Brooke said that the 21-year-old was hanging out with other students.

Black sat down with the two men and spoke with them for a bit, said Brooke.

Donaldson Beaufrere, sophomore major in computer science, just missed the rapper by the time he reached Parkview.

“Everybody started following him and after that he just left,” said Beaufrere. “Everyone was taking pictures like just hanging out, he just left. That was it.”

Beaufrere believes he was on campus for about 45 minutes.

It’s unclear, as of press time, what led to the surprise visit.

Kodak Black is an American rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida. He is known for his tracks “No Flockin'” and recently collaborated with Danielle “Bhad Babie” Bregoli for their song “Bestie.”
