Miami’s role in Trump re-election campaign is crucial

After tossing napkins at Puerto Ricans, enforcing restrictions on the border and tightening sanctions with Cuba, President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence visited South Florida to lure Latinos into voting for their re-election.

Visiting Miami, the most diversely populated Latino city in the U.S, seems like the best way to reach out to Latinos and influence their political standpoint. Trump’s vulgarity towards Puerto Ricans is quite the setback, as it not only disillusions Latinos, but also regular Americans who value morals and societal standards.

However, the majority of Latinos flee to America due to socialist and communist regimes overtaking their country. Luckily, Trump and Pence stand by democracy and strictly against any bit of socialism, which Democrats seem to love. Latinos are naturally more likely to vote Republican, but re-electing the current president is more of a stretch. Hence why the visit to the 305 is so crucial.

Regardless of Trump’s vulgarity, the president is doing his job to keep the country safe and enforce border security. So let’s put our emotions aside and focus on the black and white.

America needs a strong entity as its president – not charismatics who bow down to Saudi kings. Trump is painted as a cold-hearted and dull-witted Cheetoh that splits families and doesn’t allow poor helpless refugees to enter our enticing, opportunity-filled country. The good old South values family and America foundation is comprised of immigrants seeking a better life. But by all means, let’s allow people that we know nothing about, that are trying to illegally barge into our country behind our backs as if they were entitled to citizenship, and that might have diseases and criminal charges that could hinder our national safety.

Sounds like a fantastic idea.

Trump constantly reminds the American people that he favors legal immigration, but won’t tolerate illegal aliens entering our country. We fine and arrest trespassers that come into our homes, our own American people, yet we’re expected to have mercy on illegal aliens that sneak in through our borders.

Trump’s visit to Miami was built on emphasizing national security and proving that he isn’t targeting and discriminating against Latino immigrants. This clarification would remove a few grudges and help Latinos lean towards Trump’s re-election.

But to the incumbent’s dismay, the largest Hispanic ethnic group in Miami is Cuban, and President Trump recently upset millions of Cubans after cutting business ties with Cuba. Cruise ships and recreational vessels are no longer allowed to legally visit Cuba, which was the most popular way Americans traveled to the communist island. This ban has caused the Cuban economy to plummet, impoverishing the island to a greater degree.

Regardless of pissing off Cubans in Cuba, Trump gloats about having the lowest record of unemployment amongst Latinos that legally came into the United States. I was actually sitting in a restaurant in Hialeah when President Trump was enticing Latinos with his plans for tax cuts that would favor their small businesses, rather than the Democrats’s plans to further increase taxes.

So, Trump isn’t racist against Latinos, he’s prioritizing his citizens and country.

There are too many wounds that still need mending before we can tell if Latinos will support Trump’s re-election. However, the visit to Miami definitely addresses tying loose ends that might jeopardize Trump’s re-election, reaching mutual understanding, and attaining the Latinos’ votes.
