The FIU Panthers remain undefeated after their scoreless draw Friday night against the Charlotte 49ers, and now face their last non-conference regular-season opponent in a game against USF.
FIU enters a nearly three-week road trip 9-0-4 and looking to get their tenth win of the season and remain undefeated as they face a USF team coming off their 1-3 loss against Temple.
The only team both FIU and USF have faced entering Tuesday is FGCU, both teams winning, although USF was able to keep a clean sheet. That said, FIU has shown that they have offensive production, scoring 35 goals up to date compared to the Bulls 16 goals.
Like FIU, after Tuesday’s game, the Bulls will play the remainder of their regular-season games in the American Athletic Conference, among them nationally ranked UCF.
This game can be seen as a tune-up match both teams can use to see what kind of line-ups they believe will be key entering these last few regular-season games.
FIU leads USF in the all-time series against one another 14-13, in which FIU has won the last two match-ups. In their last contest, FIU pleased the home crowd to a 3-2 victory.
The Panthers play the USF Bulls Tuesday, October 22nd at USF’s Corbett Soccer Stadium.
