FIU swimming & diving continue to be perennial conference champions with this sixth straight conference title.
This win breaks the Conference USA record for most consecutive conference championships putting this program in elite status among other conference contenders.
This was a demolishing win for the Panthers as the finished 155 points ahead of the second-place Rice Owls as they coasted to conference gold.
Both FIU’s swimming coach, Randy Horner, and diving coach, Nick Yang, took home conference coach of the year honors as they lead a dominant program this season.
Junior Canadien swimmer Stephanie Hussey earned C-USA co-swimmer of the meet with Freshman diver Mandy Song earning C-USA Diver of the meet.
Along with the superlatives, the Panthers proved yet again that they are one of the top swimming & diving programs in the country.
The next task for the Panthers will be the NCAA Championships on March 18th. They hope to build off of this momentum and earn gold.
The NCAA championship will be held in Athens, Georgia.
