An FIU student who visited the Law Library on the Modesto Maidique campus on March 7, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The student was tested off campus and reported the positive results to their dean, according to an email sent by FIU Tuesday night.
The email encouraged those who develop symptoms like dry coughs and fever get tested.
FIU Student Health clinics are seeing people by appointment only, they can be reached at 305-348-2401.
This is the second confirmed case of COVID-19 at the university. The first was a staff member who had recently traveled.
This is an ongoing story and will be updated.
