FIU will continue to operate most classes through online remote learning for this upcoming fall semester. According to an email sent by President Mark B. Rosenberg, the university will be limiting the number of students, faculty, and staff on campus.
FIU will be monitoring closely the number of cases in South Florida to ensure the safety of students.
Faculty who return to campus will be required to have approval from their supervisor, wear a mask, and comply with on-campus social distancing protocols.
Physical return to campus will be equal to the need of students, research, and any additional academic programs. Any students who will physically be on campus will have to download the Panthers Protecting Panthers or P3 application.
The university will be corresponding with the Florida Board of Governors, the FIU Board of Trustees, local and state healthcare officials, local government officials, and FIU healthcare experts.
Additional information will be provided by the university in the next upcoming days.
