Mandatory face coverings and social distancing reminders are not the only changes students will see this fall semester. Both the Biscayne Bay and Modesto Maidique campuses have added new dining options and revamped some of your old favorites.
New Additions to MMC
Pincho Factory
Students in the Graham Center can say goodbye to Burger King. Replacing the long-time fast food establishment is Pincho Factory, known for its unique and delicious burgers, french fries and kebabs.
Caribbean Crave
The university continues to enhance its cultural cravings with Caribbean Crave, which will serve Jamaican patties, jerked meals, and other Carribean specialties.
New Renovated Spaces
Current restaurants in GC including Jamba Juice, Pollo Tropical, Subway, Café Bustelo, Sergios, and Chili’s have been completely renewed.
The Chili’s patio is currently being redesigned to provide guests with a comfortable experience. New lighting, couches, and TV monitors will be added to give students a great place to eat, study, or keep themselves entertained.
Pollo Tropical has been redecorated to give the fast-food establishment a fresh new look. The kitchen has been reconstructed to give employees a pleasant space to cook up the best meals they have to offer.
Half Moon Empanadas will be expanding its restaurant by adding kiosks between the Green Library and the Chemistry and Physic Building. This will make it easier for students to purchase their meals when they are on the go.
The limitless dining additions don’t end there. Located behind the Deuxieme Maison building, will be a dedicated food truck area where many unique vendors will give students dozens of spectacular meal options. These vendors will include the return of the plant-based food truck Beefsteak and Miami’s very own dessert eatery, The Salty Donut.
New Additions to BBC
Chick-Fil-A
Chick-Fil-A officially makes its way to BBC; located at Roary’s Bay Café, students won’t have to go to MMC anymore to have a bite at the popular fast-food establishment.
Vicky Cafe’ Kiosk
Chick-Fil-A isn’t the only new restaurant coming to the Bay. Vicky Cafe’ will be opening a kiosk for students to enjoy a savory café con leche and some glorious croquetas and pastelitos.
Starbucks
When you’re stopping for a quick coffee and cream cheese bagel, you’ll notice Starbucks has a new look. Up-to-date decor and new seating arrangements have been added to this hotspot, along with a dedicated nitro cold brew station for those looking for a major caffeine fix.
