FIU had four new COVID-19 cases last week.

Three FIU students and one professor self-reported having COVID-19 to the university the week of Sept. 21, according to the FIU COVID-19 Dashboard

One of the students who reported having the virus lives on campus, the other two were students learning remotely.

The one professor who self-reported being COVID-19 positive is working remotely.

The dashboard divides COVID-19 cases into four categories; students living or learning on campus, students learning remotely, faculty/staff working on campus, or working remotely.

The FIU Dashboard only reflects cases self-reported by students and faculty to the Student Affairs and Human Resources divisions or the FIU COVID-19 Response Team.

Due to privacy laws protecting students and faculty, the university cant verify the self-reported cases.

Since classes began, five weeks ago a total of 83 cases have been self-reported to the university.

Of the 60 student cases, 34 live or study on campus. Eight of the 23 faculty cases are professors who work on campus.

The dashboard is updated every Monday by the FIU Covid-19 Response Team.
