Virtual and In-person Christmas Events you can Attend

With the holiday season finally arriving, events across Miami, whether virtual or in-person, have popped up to bring the merry spirits into full effect. There are plenty of places featuring events for the whole family to check out to enjoy this month while remaining safe.

1.       Garden of Lights, Flamingo Gardens (Friday, Dec. 18, 5-9 p.m.) –

Flamingo Gardens has an annual holiday event that features a self-guided walk through a land featuring thousands of decorations and lights. Be able to visit Santa and his helpers in this “after-hours” walk. Admission is $15.95 for ages 12+, $12.95 for ages 3-11, and people under the age of 2 are free.

2.       Santa’s Drive-Thru Village – Miramar Regional Park (Every day to Wednesday, Dec. 23, 6-7 p.m.) –https://www.goldstar.com/events/miramar-fl/santas-drive-thru-village-tickets

Visit Santa’s home at the North Pole from the safety of your car! Drive through a village crafted with decorations and lights entirely socially distanced. Admission is $44.24 for each car.

3.       Pictures With Santa – Festival Marketplace (Saturday, Dec. 19, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.) –

Take a free, socially distanced, holiday-filled picture with Santa Claus!

4.       Celebration of Peace: A Drive-Thru Christmas Lights Show – Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale (Every day until Sunday, Dec. 20, 6-9 p.m.) –

Enjoy an inspiring and fun show for the whole family as you hear familiar Christmas tunes and experience everything, from the sights to the sounds of the season, entirely from the comfort of your car. Free admission, and you can RSVP at https://celebrationofpeace.com/ 

5.       Deborah Cox: I’ll Be Home for Christmas – Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts (Saturday, Dec. 19, 8 p.m.) –

Performing her first-ever holiday show is local actress and singer Deborah Cox. Performing her original songs including her single “I Really Don’t Want Much for Christmas”, along with songs from others such as Jekyll & Hyde and The Wiz. Table for Four admissions is $220.00.

6.       Santa’s Flight Academy – Dolphin Mall (Every day until Wednesday, December 23, 12-8 PM except for Sunday, Dec. 20 at 12-6 p.m. and Thursday, Dec.24 at 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.) –

Reimagined for 2020, take flight at Santa’s Flight Academy to see Santa socially distanced and contact-free. Reservations required.

7.       Christmas Celebration at The Wharf’s Riverside Holiday Village – 114 SW North River Dr, Miami, FL 33130 (Friday, Dec. 25, 4 p.m.) –

Join The Wharf on Christmas Day for a special holiday celebration along the iconic Miami River. There’ll be a special Riverside Holiday Village Christmas Celebration and Happy Hour. Enjoy live music, eats, cocktails, and good times! Complimentary RSVP is free, but table reservations are between $252 and $504 depending on the time selected and number of guests.

8.       Rockin’ Christmas – Hard Rock Café Miami (Friday, Dec. 25, 12-8 p.m.) –

Make your special holiday rock on Christmas! Pre-purchase your ticket and reservations at https://www.hardrockcafe.com/location/miami/ . There’s also the same event planned for Christmas Eve.

9.       Christmas Eve Mass – Cathedral of Saint Mary (Thursday, Dec. 24, 9 p.m.) –
