With the win, the Panthers begin the season with a 1-0 record, and now hold an overall record of 3-3 with the Dolphins. This also marks the first win for new head coach Jonathan Garbar.
FIU’s next opponent in the season is in Jacksonville against the North Florida Ospreys on Friday, February 12th at 4 pm. The Ospreys are also entering the game with a 1-0 record. FIU has not beaten North Florida since September 2015.
