Top Eight Valentine’s Day Movies on Disney+

During the pandemic watching movies with friends and family across the country has never been easier with streaming services offering group watch features, including Disney+. Here are eight films you can watch for a date or family night this Valentine’s Day.

  1. The Princess Bride

The Princess Bride is the cheesiest fantasy movie out there. It is a great movie for everyone in the house. This movie has comedy, action, romance, and drama. The movie has a blend of all genres in the corniest way possible. Although there is no singing in this classic, the lines are so quotable that they can almost be a part of day-to-day conversations.

  1. High School Musical

High School Musical and the sequels are iconic movies, and perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day. The movie celebrates friendship, having fun, romance, and most of all music. The following sequels just get better and better so those should also be added to your Valentine’s Day movie night. Also to get caught up on the “Driver’s License” drama, go watch “High School Musical: the Musical: the Series.”

  1. Lady and the Tramp

Lady and the Tramp is a must-add to movie nights on Valentine’s Day because of the love story between the two main characters, Lady and Tramp. There is also a live-action version of the movie, which is just as cute and has some different songs.

  1. Tuck Everlasting

Tuck Everlasting is a movie based on a book with the same name. The movie is about Winnie Foster who falls in love with Jesse Tuck who she meets while lost in the woods. Jesse and his family are fun, but they’re hiding a big secret. This movie is filled with Academy Award winners and stars Alexis Bledel.

  1. Up

Up is a classic Pixar movie that will make whoever watches the movie laugh and cry. The movie includes romance, comedy, adventure, a ton of dogs. The movie is a movie everyone should watch at least once. The movie follows Carl Fredrickson who takes an adventure to Paradise Falls, where he’s always wanted to go.

  1. Ten Things I Hate About You

This movie stars Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles based on the Shakespeare play “The Taming of the Shrew.” The movie follows Kat Stratford being set up with Patrick Verona because her father says her sister Bianca cannot date until Kat has a boyfriend.

  1. While You Were Sleeping

This movie starring Sandra Bullock is a classic rom-com about a subway worker who saves a man that was mugged and is now in a coma. The man’s family mistakes her for his fiancee.

  1. Frozen

Although this movie isn’t centered on a couple, the theme of love is important to the story. Valentine’s Day is a celebration of love, and love between two sisters is a great movie to watch with friends or with family. This movie also has a sequel that is as good if not better than the first one.
