FIU had 33 new COVID-19 cases last week.

22 students and 11 faculty or staff self-reported having the virus the week of Feb. 8, according to the FIU COVID-19 dashboard.

Of the 22 new student cases reported, 13 live or learn on campus. The remaining nine were of students learning remotely.

Only three of the eight faculty staff members who reported having the virus last week work on campus.

The number of weekly new cases for students living or learning on campus have slightly decreased since the start of the semester from 22 the week of Jan. 11 to the 13 reported last week.

Last week, the university saw a decrease in new faculty or staff clases working on campus compared to the six and 10 cases reported in previous weeks.
