FIU will now provide the Pfizer vaccine for 12-to 15-year-olds who live in the same household with an FIU student, faculty, staff, or retiree.
The vaccine will be made available for 12-to 15-year-olds starting on Wednesday, May 19 according to an email sent out by FIU President Mark B.Rosenberg. Eligible children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
To make an appointment you can click here. Vaccine distribution will be on a first come, first served basis. The second dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be made available on Wednesday, June 9.
“At FIU, we strive to help our Panther family stay safe and healthy. Please remember that vaccinated or not, we must all continue to observe COVID-19 mitigation guidelines,” said Rosenberg.
