Halloween events for FIU students

FIU students will celebrate Halloween with multiple festivities happening on campus, from karaoke to a fashion show all taking place the last week of October. 

Boos and Booze: Students will learn how to safely maneuver Halloween celebrations while having the chance to win Uber gift cards. Drink covers will be provided, as well as tips to remain protected on Halloween. The drink covers can be used to make sure students practice safe drinking in a social setting. Boos and Booze takes place at the Graham Center Pit on Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.

Karaoke Night: The Venezuelan Student Alliance invites students to come to a karaoke night on Thursday, Oct. 27 at GC 305. Attendees will receive free food and drinks. The event begins at 6 p.m.

Spooky Special: The American Student Dental Association and Pre-Dental Society will host Spooky Special, a night featuring food and games for students at Ryder Business Building room 140. It begins at 7:00 p.m. on Oct. 27. 

Alpha Epsilon Delta’s Costume Contest: Students will have the opportunity to compete in a costume contest hosted by AED. The night features festivities including music, treats, and more. It will begin at 7 p.m. at Owa Ehan room 134 on Oct. 27.

Rockin’ Halloween: Hosted by the Geology Club, the event features food and rock music at the Charles E. Perry building room 311. Attendees are encouraged to dress up to match the theme. It will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28.

Spooky Survival Bootcamp: Girl Gains is hosting a bootcamp featuring a full body workout focusing on lower body routines. There will also be treats for attendees. The event will take place on Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. in the Blue and Gold room at the Wellness and Recreation Center.

Halloween Costume Karaoke: The Geek Culture Club and the Asian Student Union are hosting a fashion show for those who dress up. There will also be a karaoke room where students can sing, play Halloween games, and receive free candy. It will begin at 6 p.m. on Oct. 28 at Graham Center room 324.

Game Day and Halloween Costume Contest: Students will have the chance to attend a Halloween costume contest, as well as enjoy games. The top two costumes will receive prizes. Students can join the event on Monday, Oct. 31 at 1:30 p.m. in the Student Academic Success Center room 220.

Painting with HLP: To finish off the Halloween events, the Healthy Living Program will host a first come first serve painting session. The event will be led by HLP advisor Chad Pierre. To join, students can come to Student Academic Success Center room 352 on Monday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.

 Come out to join these Halloween events and show your spooky Panther pride. Whether you want to participate in Halloween costumes, enter raffles, or join games, there is something for all FIU students looking to celebrate Halloween.
