Demps, the 5-8, 170-pound athlete spent his senior season at Glades Central High School in Belle Glade, Florida. He served his team as a versatile offensive piece, showing ability to play in multiple different offensive sets.

In the 2022 season, Demps caught 33 passes, totaling 566 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He averaged over 17 yards per catch, proving to be a threat downfield for opposing defenders.

Not only can he catch the ball, Demps has shown the ability to be an effective rusher, totaling 99 yards on 19 carries last season. Running track since his sophomore year, Demps uses speed to his advantage, no matter what he’s been asked to do offensively.

Demps’ efforts last season earned him a three-star ranking on 247Sports and a two-star ranking on Rivals.com, becoming a highly touted prospect along the way.

Initially, he committed to Purdue prior to signing with FIU, even taking his official visit in June of 2022. Eventually visiting FIU in December of 2022, the Panthers were able to lure him away from Purdue.

With a knack for offense, Demps could prove to be an effective offensive player for the Panthers. Whether it’s as a deep threat, catching 60-yard touchdown passes or scoring on a jet sweep, Demps will be a critical piece for FIU going forward.
