With the 2023 football season just weeks away, FIU football’s Fan Fest returns on Saturday, Aug. 12, as the Panthers gear up for their upcoming slate of games.
This continues the tradition of season kickoff festivities celebrating the program and its connection to students and alumni. The second installment of the event under the leadership of coach Mike MacIntyre is looking to be the team’s biggest yet.
From 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., the Panthers host an open practice at the FIU Football Practice field where fans can get an early look at the team for the upcoming season.
Immediately after, there is an autograph session where those in attendance can interact with their favorite student athletes and coaches.
In the afternoon, the FIU Alumni Association hosts the Panther Block Party at Monty’s Coconut Grove on 2550 S Bayshore Drive.
The event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will include an open bar, food, music and giveaways, as well as an opportunity to meet and interact with fellow Panthers fans and alumni.
Tickets for the Panther Block Party are $30 with proceeds supporting FIU Alumni.
