Florida humidity make way–the next thing hot for FIU is Homecoming 2024!

Starting off our calendar is the culture-driven culinary communion that is the Caribbean Bash.

Being held on Sept. 13 at Biscayne Bay Campus’ Wolfe University Center’s Ballrooms, the event runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and boasts DJ’s, vendors, and food all themed around the Caribbean.

A party is not a party without singing and dancing, which is exactly what Panthers Got Talent will be bringing on Sept. 15, localized entirely at Modesto Maidique’s Graham Center Ballrooms at 5 p.m.

Like much of royalty, tradition is key. Which is why The Crown will be hosting its traditional homecoming crowning ceremony on the 16 at 6 p.m. in the GC Ballrooms.

Thought that the Caribbean Bash was all there was for homecoming food? Wrong.

BBC’s Wolfe University Center’s Panther Square will be hosting a Taste of the Bay from all the local food vendors around the north campus. This event will be on Sept. 17, from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Next is the Uncaging, hosting a myriad of commodities like carnival attractions, face paintings, and of course, the annual trail of the torch.

If it’s anything like last year’s, neither rain nor snow will put a damper on the fervor to celebrate.

The Uncaging will be held on Sept. 19, at the GC Lawns.

Finally, the game on the 21.

The FIU Panthers Football team will march into the stadium against Monmouth Hawks–a sight to behold and to cheer as it starts at 6 p.m.

And that’s all for Homecoming. Stay tuned for PantherNow’s coverage on the events!
