Original raps, angelic singing, and dance competitions. Panther’s Got Talent went off with a bang!

Taking place on Sept. 15 in the Wertheim Performing Arts Center, all Panthers were encouraged to show off their gifts on stage.

With over a dozen performances, students showed their talents through instruments, rapping, and singing pop and country songs, some of which were original songs written by the students themselves.

Chloe Kortie, a senior majoring in graphic design, and Coral Miniel, a senior majoring in computer science and film, shared their thoughts about their own performances on stage

“I was really happy to get to sing such an amazing song by Chappell Roan and it was a great opportunity to meet other artists, overall just a super fun night. Thank you Panthers Got Talent,” Kortie stated.

“Yes, it was really fun performing. I did a song called “Blooming.” “Blooming” is all about coming out of your shell into a new person, so I was really excited about tonight,” Miniel said.

“Representing the Dominican Republic, I had help from my sister. Shoutout Liz, and my brother (who) came out to support!”

“I hope other students can help be motivated to come, anyone can do it,” Miniel said.
