On Monday, Feb. 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Ocean Bank Convocation Center, the career fair will take place with over 90 companies and 200 recruiters eager to meet with FIU students and alumni.

Sonia Gonzales Hernandez, Assistant Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing Division of Academic & Student Affairs, shared that the event is geared to help students gain experience in marketing, “The purpose of this event is to get our students in front of these recruiters, to network and gain experience. All students should try to go to the career fair because even if you have a current job, it’s good to see what employers are looking for.”

Students can reserve a spot on their Handshake account on the career fair page. Where they can find which employers are coming, potential job opportunities, and what majors they’re recruiting for.

To make the most of the career fair, it is recommended that students bring multiple resumes and practice their elevator pitch before coming. For additional preparation tips, check out the FIU news article.
