The FIU Men’s Basketball team is currently on a seven game losing streak.
This seven game losing streak, with losses against Liberty, UTEP, NM State, Sam Houston, Jax State and Louisiana Tech, puts the Panthers at a 1-8 conference record, an overall record of 7-15, and in last place in the C-USA standings.

Heading into a matchup where desperation might start to creep in, FIU has one thing in mind: winning. After a slump where everything has gone from bad to worse, a win at home could start showing the light at the end of the tunnel for FIU.
The Sam Houston Bearkats have not had a dream start to conference play as they sit at 9th going into their matchup against FIU. They are on a five game losing streak with their last win being against FIU.
The Panthers offense needs to come alive behind top scorers Junior Guard Jayden Brewer and Junior Center Vianney Salatchoum. Brewer and Salatchoum have had inconsistent games in their last few outings, with Salatchoum fresh off an injury. If they both can get it together out on the field, the duo can propel FIU to a big win over Sam Houston.

Looking to bounce back from a seven game losing streak, the FIU Panthers host the Sam Houston Bearkats on Thursday, Feb. 5 in Miami, FL. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
