The Panthers are heading into a 3-game series with Liberty starting this Friday at 6:30 p.m.

FIU is now on a five-game losing streak after their road loss to the Miami Hurricanes on Wednesday.

FIU baseball goes into the series against the flames with a 6-10 blow from the Hurricanes.

Overall, the Panthers struggled to gain any momentum during the game. Miami brought out the big bats in the first inning, with a solo homerun from Jake Ogden and Max Galvin, making it 2-0 Hurricanes early.

The Panthers made their first response in the top of the fourth with an RBI groundout from shortstop Velez, Adonys and an RBI single from outfielder Clove Cleveland making it 2-3.

The two freshmen show lots of potential as future stars for Panther baseball.

The Hurricanes continued to beatdown on the pitching, sending a big response back to FIU the same inning with 4 more runs, putting Miami on top 2-7.

The Panthers started to make a run in the seventh and eighth innings, bringing the score to within one.

Senior Brylan West made it 6-7 in the eighth with a single to drive in a run.

Despite the Panther’s attempt to come back, the Hurricanes sealed the deal after a three-run shot making it the final 6-10.

FIU has allowed 42 runs during their five-game losing streak.

The series against Liberty will be the last one of the season at home as FIU will then face Sam Houston in Texas to finish the regular season.

The Panthers will look to finish strong to earn a spot in the postseason.
