The FIU volleyball team opens conference play by hosting Missouri State at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center on back-to-back days starting Friday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m.

The second game will take place Saturday, Sept. 27 at 12 p.m.

The Panthers go into the matchup with a 6-6 record and have not been able to find consistency all season.

The team coached by Cristina Robertson has qualified for the CUSA Tournament in each of the last three seasons, and this year FIU will host the 2025 CUSA Championship.

When it comes to Missouri State, this will be the first time in program history that FIU has faced the Bears as they joined Conference-USA prior to the 2025-26 academic year.

Freshman Rebekah Pfefferkorn has been a great addition to the team as she has contributed 88 kills all season.

Also, senior libero Mandi Morioka leads the team in digs and ranks third in the conference with 193.

Senior Kira Givans is first in the team with 133 kills and has played in all 12 games this season with 11 starts.

From now until the end of the season, every game for FIU will be against a conference opponent, except on Saturday, Oct. 21, when they will face Florida Gulf Coast away from home.
