The FIU men’s soccer looks to carry its momentum into a non-conference matchup against Seton Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m., in New Jersey.
After a 3-1 win over Temple, the Panthers will be looking to go on a run as they get ready to play their last five games of the season.
The Panthers enter the game against the Pirates with a 5-4-2 overall record and 3-1 in the American Athletic Conference.
During their last victory against Temple, three first half goals were enough to earn a much needed home victory.
Enrique Mutsoli put FIU on the board in the 29th minute, followed by Johan Arevalo’s first goal as a Panthers. While captain and graduate student, Owen Travis struck just before halftime, sealing FIU’s control of the match.
Sophomore Leonardo Consoloni gave two assists and goalkeeper Nigel Van Haveren had three saves.
This will be the third time the programs have met, with Seton Hall winning the last matchup.
The Panthers are looking to finish strong and get back to the conference tournament, as they hope to get back to the conference finals and qualify for the NCAA tournament.
