The Vietnamese Student Affiliation, also known as ViSA, dedicates itself to spreading awareness about Vietnamese culture and providing a community for FIU’s Vietnamese student body.
“Almost all of our members are international students, so they all have a lot in common,” said Anh Le, ViSA President and a Junior year Public Relations major, “We create a space for people to get to know one another.”
ViSA is part of FIU’s various cultural organizations. One upcoming event for the club is Cultural Night, scheduled for Nov. 3rd in collaboration with 11 other FIU cultural clubs.
“It’s our biggest event,” said Le, “We’re having a potluck, performances, raffles, and cultural attire is encouraged”.
