Following their loss at Missouri State, the Panthers move on to play Kennesaw State in Georgia.
FIU is looking to find a win on the road, as they are yet to win away from home (0-5).
The Panthers are also looking to get another conference win which would move them up in the conference rankings, considering that their 2-3 record dropped them down to No.8 in the Conference USA standings.
This will be FIU’s eighth meeting with Kennesaw State, the Panthers are 7-1 against the Owls and 3-1 when traveling to Georgia.
The last time these two teams faced-off was on Feb. 27, 2025 as the Panthers defeated the Owls at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center (76-61).

In their last game, FIU were 28-63 on field goals and 4-18 from the 3-point line. Senior Julian Mackey was the top scorer for the Panthers as he had 18 points and 3-5 on 3-pointers.
Freshman Eric Dibami secured the rebounds for FIU as he had a total of 8 rebounds against the Grizzlies.
After playing against Kennesaw, FIU will return home for one game on Jan. 17, before hitting the road again as they will face UTEP and New Mexico State.
With just 15 games left on the season, the Panthers are looking for consistency as the post season fast approaches.
Final Thoughts: Panthers are still looking for a win on the road as their losing streak on away games continues from Missouri State. Panthers continue to share the ball amongst their teammates as there is still proof from last game most players had double digits. However, Panthers were struggling in their free throws from their game against Missouri State, as they were 11-19 on their free throw completions.
Score Prediction:
FIU Panthers – 75 | Kennesaw State Owls – 72
