The FIU Panthers softball team has officially released its 2026 season schedule, building anticipation for an exciting year filled with competitive matchups.
FIU enters the 2026 season by announcing a full slate, three home tournaments, a tournament in Gainesville at the University of Florida, and 27 Conference USA games.
The Panthers will also take on in-state opponents UCF, FGCU, and Florida Atlantic in non-conference midweek matchups.
The season opener will take place at home on Felsberg Field at Baptist Health Stadium with the Felsberg Invitational.
The Panthers will face Texas A&M- Corpus Christi on Feb. 5 and 6, leading up to Louisville on Feb. 6, and then play against Stony Brook and Lehigh on Feb. 7.
FIU will face their in-state rival, Florida Atlantic University, on March 25 and April 15.
Conference USA games will kick off with a three-game home series in March against Delaware, followed by road matchups against UTEP on March 13-15 and New Mexico State on March 20-22.
FIU will also face Jacksonville State on March 27-29, leading up to Kennesaw State on April 2-4. The Panthers will be back at home on April 10-12, facing Louisiana Tech.
The FIU Panthers will then travel to Liberty on April 17-19 and Sam Houston on April 24-26.
To wrap up Conference USA games, the Panthers will be home one last time to play Middle Tennessee on April 30- May 2.
The regular season will conclude with the Conference USA Championships from May 5-9 in Newark, Delaware.
The Panthers welcome back Conference USA performers, including outfielder Kally Meredith, infielder Paige Miller, and star two-way player and right-handed pitcher Kennedy Byrd.
The FIU Panthers hope to build on last season’s success and compete for a spot in the Conference USA Championship.
