The touring Freedom Truck made its stop at Florida International University, celebrating 250 years of American history.

Created by PragerU in partnership with President Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 initiative, the mobile museum features U.S. history with displays, AI portraits, videos, and interactive touchscreen experiences.

It made stops in Washington D.C., North Carolina, Tennessee, Tampa, Florida, and Miami as one of its several remaining stops.

With free admission, many people including FIU students visited the truck to see what it had to offer.

Visitor Sandra Remilien received notice through PragerU’s email and shared why she believes the truck is important.

“I’m an American, and I think it’s very important we teach people the history about our country,” Remilien said.

Ian Madrigal, a finance major student at FIU, became curious when he was getting off the bus and thought why not check it out along with setting out expectations that it could be fun.

“Learn a quick thing or two about American history as someone who admittedly is a bit of a history nerd.” Madrigal said.

The truck ran from Thursday, May 14, through Saturday, May 16, and will continue to travel the country throughout the year from May 19 till December 6.
