The Meet Your Dean event on Wednesday, Oct. 22, hosted by the Student Government Association, was an opportunity for students to get advice from the leaders of their schools’ and learn ways to successfully reach graduation.
Last week Wednesday, Oct. 22, during the Meet Your Dean event, students were able to get advice from professionals in their college and meet with advisors and their colleges’ deans, all without an appointment.

It appears that meeting attendance has become an issue for both sections of the Student Government Association, now that Summer B has begun.
The Student Government Council at Biscayne Bay Campus announced the new chief of staff, chief justice, speaker of the senate and School of Journalism and Mass Communication senator.
The BBC-SGC president announced that Karla Marte, a junior majoring in biology, will be formally appointed as chief of staff during the next general meeting.
Unlike last week, the SGC-BBC Senate reached quorum this week as their second meeting took place.
The Student Government Association at Biscayne Bay Campus will soon be under new leadership as the 2014 elections approach.
This year there are 12 candidates hoping to fill various positions. Some positions have multiple candidates while others, such as President and Vice President are running unopposed.
Voting begins April 1.
Campaigning runs through April 2 and elections start April 1.
