The athletic fee committee voted to pass the proposed 54-cent increase bringing the total from $15.56 to $16.10 per credit hour, pending the approval of the Board of Trustees.

Panthers finish season on high note heading into tournament play
On May 5, FIU closed the regular season on a high note beating FAU 2-0 on Senior night. With the win, the Panthers not only won the series but now enter the Sun Belt Tournament with a ton of momentum.

FIU (8-11) dropped its one-game match against the University of Tennessee (12-8) on March 21, extending the Panthers’ losing streak to five, the longest of the season.
Dawson tosses complete game as Panthers defeat Owls
FIU was eased into conference play against a slumping Owls club with 2-0 victory against FAU on March 21. The Panthers played a FAU squad that had lost nine of their last 13 games. The team received a stellar performance from ace Mariah Dawson. Dawson gave her bullpen a rest, pitching a complete game allowing just two hits to go with a season-high 12 strikeouts.

Panthers lose to WKU on last-second field goal
Jack Griffin won the battle of field goal kickers by going three for three with 40, 34 and 43-yard kicks, but the WKU kickers had the last laugh as Casey Tinius kicked in the game winning field goal with four seconds left.
