Student Government begins budget hearings
The Student Government Association will have budget hearings Feb. 6 and 7 with organizations seeking money from the activity and services fee — a $12.37 per credit hour charge that every student pays to the University. This year’s pot has not been determined yet, but last year’s reached $16.1 million.

The 11th Annual Student Leadership Summit will take place on Saturday Feb. 1, 2014 at the Biscayne Bay Campus. This year’s Summit will offer over 27 workshop choices to an anticipated audience of 390 FIU students.

FIU becomes a greener school with RecycleMania 2014
To promote waste reduction, the Office of Sustainability will participate in RecycleMania, a competition held at American and Canadian universities and colleges in which schools collect and record trash and recyclables accumulated during an eight-week period starting Feb. 2.
